Upgrade Jewellery & Fresh Piercings

One question we’re often asked is whether upgrade jewellery can be worn in a fresh piercing. The short answer is YES, however, we usually recommend starting with the standard jewellery included in the cost of your piercing for the best healing results.

Standard jewellery allows more room for swelling, easier cleaning, and better airflow during the initial healing phase. Larger gems, statement pieces, or chains can sometimes interfere with healing.

That said, if there’s a specific piece you have your heart set on, you’re welcome to place a deposit to put it on hold, ready for your downsize appointment.

This approach is our personal recommendation based on experience and what we know works best, but if you’d prefer to start with upgrade jewellery from day one, just let us know when you email and we’ll talk through the options with you.
